Curitiba, is located on the eastern coast of Brazil. The city has the largest population and also the largest economy in Southern Brazil. The population of Curitiba numbers approximately 1.8 million people

Jacksonville twinned with Curitiba, Brazil on April 3, 2009 becoming Jacksonville’s seventh Sister City.

In October 2011, JSCA Curitiba Committee Vice President Alan Vinson traveled to Curitiba with Jacksonville Mayor Alan Brown. Alan then conducted a radio interview about the trip which aired on 89.9 FM in Jacksonville. To hear the interview, click here
